White House

WhiteHouse1The White House was built in 1792-1800 based on Pierre Charles L'Enfant plan of a federal city, the plan was selected in a competition among the nine other proposals. It is said that George Washington was not happy with the main level and found it to be small and simple and are not suitable for the presidency of the nation, while the White House was enlarged by thirty percent.
